HAZARDOUS MATERIAL INVENTORY SERVICES

using                             software

Chemical Inventory:

a.    Initiate database by numbering all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) (MSDS) provided by the client,
and creating an inventory guide sheet, which will be used during the on-site inventory.

b.    With the assistance of plant personal, perform on-site physical inventory

               i.        Determine inactive products and compile an inactive SDS list.

ii.        Locate products that do not have SDS on file and obtain SDS from the manufacturer.

iii.        Determine maximum pounds on-site, calendar year usage in pounds, container
type, location of use and physical state of each hazardous material.

iv.        Inspect storage procedures and complete a summary of the facility’s compliance
                          with SARA Title III Laws.

Data Entry (SEIS Software Program - Hazmat Inventory Pro):

Enter chemical identity, ingredients, CAS numbers, and onsite inventory information for each Management and 112R of the Clean Air Act thresholds quantities, NFPA codes and hazardous classifications. The resulting electronic data can be provided (for an additional cost) to the client if a compatible computer system is available.

Develop Electronic Master File index of all SDS:

In addition to the SDS master file, a final report that separates each facility’s hazardous materials into the following sections will be generated for use during future compliance reporting:

a.    SARA Title III Sections 302 EHS, 304 CERCLA, 311-312 Tier II, 313 TRI

b.    Clean Air Act 304 PSM & 112R

c.     Air Quality HAPS and VOC emission factors

d.    Known or suspected Carcinogens, SPCC, SWPPP

Evaluate Data and Make Regulatory Determinations:

a.    Determine if any Tier II reports need to be filed. Complete and file if necessary.

b.    Review database for materials on-site in quantities great enough to require reporting if released.
Prepare a report on these chemicals for use during any potential accidental release.

c.     Determine if each facility separately has manufactured, processed or otherwise used, more
than the threshold limit of the aggregate total of all SARA Title 313 candidate chemicals.
Based on this determination, make recommendations for Form R reporting.

Alternate Method: Remote Hazardous Material Inventory Services, This service would include entering all the pertinent data from each SDS provided by the client.  This service would only include max onsite and yearly use data on production products provided by the client. The Hazardous Material Inventory Service cost is based on the number of active (M)SDS’s. Copies of all (M)SDS’s and a facility layout need to be provided to Summit Environmental Inventory Services (SEIS). For questions or additional information, contact Bart Adams at (801) 599-2748.
